After a brief hiatus due to various Sassco events in May, June and July, the tournament made its welcome return to Washington Galleries on 19th August 2025.
Four teams graced the pitch: the usual suspects—Sassco, South Shields, and Washington Athletic—alongside NEPCA, the new kids(?) on the block.
NEPCA arrived, saw, and conquered. Six wins out of six, The second games against South Shields and Sassco were tighter, but NEPCA took their chances with clinical precision.
All in all, a solid tournament. The weather, however, wasn’t the best. Especially as it was in-between a heatwave.
